Established in 1953,
Jongert is specialized in building luxurious sailing yachts between 24 and 60 metres in both modern and traditional designs.
The yard also introduced a semi-custom line of motoryachts in 2007 and offers custom builds of any variety in steel, aluminum or composite.
Timeless craftsmanship is underpinned by the very latest innovations and technologies as we combine the best in Dutch-build quality with the unique value that only a Jongert can offer.
All this is achieved in world-class facilities, custom-created in the mid 00s and offering an industry leading degree of sustainability.
Financially secure
Like many major companies around the world, Jongert was faced with some turbulent waters when the global recession impacted the yachting world in late 2008.
In mid-2009 this led to a major change of ownership as new shareholders took over the yard and gave it the most solid of financial bases. The four partners, each owning 25% of the shares, are:
- Veka: One of Holland’s leading shipbuilders, Veka has three yards in NL and one in the Czech Republic.
- Werkina: A Dutch electrical engineering company with major expertise in commercial vessels and superyachts.
- DHG: A commercial real estate development and investment company, with a special interest in buildings related to shipping.
- Rabo Investments: Part of the Rabobank, one of the largest banks in the Netherlands and the only commercial AAA-rated bank in the world.
With such a firm financial background, Jongert Shipyard is able to offer new clients a unique degree of security: xxxx
Calm confidence
In addition to new investments, economies of scale and an even higher degree of efficiency, the new owners installed a management team that is guiding Jongert to new heights of success.
Three superyachts are currently under construction, with delivery planned for 2010.
Discussions on new projects are at an advanced stage.
